The come from behind victory was claimed in dramatic fashion by Norwich on Howard Field to secure a spot in the semi finals on Thursday.
Albertus Magnus secured a first place seeding in the GNAC tournament after achieving an outstanding undefeated conference record of 10-0 and an overall record of 14-2-1. The Falcons just edged St. Joseph’s College early in the season in overtime, to clinch their undefeated record.

NEWTON, MA- Potsdam State men’s soccer team took the title of Kick Off Classic Champion Sunday afternoon at Taylor Field, with penalty kicks determining the 1-1 tie breaker in the tournament final against Lasell College.
NEWTON, MA- On first date of competition of the 2011 Lasell College men’s soccer season, the Lasers hosted the 2nd Annual Kick Off Classic on Taylor Field in front of a crowd of 300. In an outstanding Laser showing, Lasell walloped Wheelock College, 16-0, in the first game of the day, breaking the institutional team record for most goals scored in a game, while Potsdam State defeated Baruch College in the second contest by a score of 4-3. Lasell and Potsdam will face off in the Championship game tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. while Wheelock and Baruch will fight for 3rd place in the consolation game of the tournament, set to begin at noon.
The Lasell College men’s soccer program produced its 10th straight winning season in 2010, concluding the year with a 9-8-2 overall record including an outstanding, undefeated 7-0-2 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) slate.
