Lasell College to Host Tony DiCicco during NSCAA Goalkeeper Film Shoot on Taylor Field
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College will play host to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on Sunday, September 11th, during which time the NSCAA will be shooting an instructional video on soccer goalkeeping.  

 

The NSCAA is the largest soccer coaching organization in the world, promoting the game of soccer and the education of coaches.  American soccer player, coach and commentator, Tony DiCicco will be featured during the filming of the video on the Lasell College campus.  

 

DiCicco is best known as the coach of the U.S. Women's National team from 1994 to1999, during which time he guided the team to an Olympic gold medal in 1996 and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 1999.  DiCicco is also the head coach of the women's professional soccer team the Boston Breakers.  Lisa Cole, the assistant coach of the Breakers, will also be a part of the video, as well as the Lasell College head men's soccer coach Giovanni Pacini.  

 

Coach Pacini is in his 30th year of coaching, and 14th year at Lasell, during which time he has led his team to 11 winning seasons, six trips to the conference finals, two conference championships, and trips to both the NCAA and ECAC championship tournaments. He also serves the NSCAA as the Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Technical Coordinator and is Chairman of the prestigious NSCAA Technical Committee. He is an NSCAA Master Coach, holds the Premiere and Advanced National Diplomas, and is a member of both the National Academy Staff and National Goalkeeper Academy staff.

 

The NSCAA filming will take place all day on Sunday at Lasell College. The Lasell community is encouraged to come out and watch the event take place on Taylor Field.
