Women's Volleyball Hosts GNAC Tri-MatchOctober 17, 2009Newton, Mass. Lasell College hosted a womens volleyball tri-match today with two top Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponents. Johnson & Wales University swept the tri-match, going home with a 7-1 conference record, while Emmanuel College split on the day, finishing with an 8-1 league slate. Lasell dropped both matches to the tough conference rivals, ending the day with a 3-4 conference mark.

Elizabeth Stickley (Mashpee, Mass.) and Matthew Scully (Watertown, Conn.) were selected for the second week in a row as Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week respectively, while Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) and Christina Annicelli (North Easton, Mass.) were chosen as women's volleyball Player of the Week and cross country Rookie of the Week respectively.

Lasers Lose a 3-1 Match with AnchorwomenOctober 14, 2009Providence, RILasell College stole one game away from New England powerhouse Rhode Island College on Tuesday evening in a four-set womens volleyball match, at The Murray Center. The Anchorwomen dictated the first two sets easily (25-14, 25-17) before the Lasers capitalized in the third for a 25-21 win. Rhode Island came back in full force in the final set, winning 25-18, for the match.
