Fidalgo scored the first three goals of the third quarter for Lasell and then set up junior Jordan Hines (Essex Jct., Vt) for a goal as the Lasers ballooned their lead to 13-5. Ferreira scored twice for NEC in the final two minutes of the third to cut the margin to 13-7, but couldn't stage a comeback in the fourth quarter and Lasell went on to the win.
