NEWTON, MA- In the first outdoor men’s and women’s track & field meet in Lasell College history, the Lasers had multiple outstanding performances on Saturday at the Regis College Pride Invitational, including three first place finishes.
CAMBRIDGE, MA- Two institution records fell as the Lasell College men’s track & field team had an outstanding meet at the MIT Co-Ed Invitational on Saturday. Antonio Nesbitt (Springfield, MA) picked up first place honors in the 55 meter dash and fourth place in the long jump to produce both individual records, while Stephen Petrin (Vernon, CT) topped all other competitors in the 200 meter run to take first place with a time of 24.33 seconds.
NORTHAMPTON, MA- At the Smith Tartan Men’s Track & Field Invitational, the Lasell College Lasers placed 4th overall as a team behind WPI, Amherst, and American International.
CAMBRIDGE, MA- JB Leger (Waltham, MA) and James Curtis (Everett, MA) each broke their own previous Lasell all-time men’s track & field records at the MIT Co-Ed Invitational on Saturday.
WALTHAM, MA- The Lasell College men’s track & field team finished fourth overall at the Reggie Poyau Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University on Saturday, January 15th. JB Leger (Waltham, MA) came in first place in the men’s triple jump event, setting a new school record of 12.47 meters.
NORTHAMPTON, MA- The 2010-2011 Lasell College men's track & field season opened up on Saturday morning at the Smith Winter Classic. Lasell had a number of top performances including a third place finish for junior JB Leger (Waltham, MA) with a personal best of 12.36m in the triple jump.
The Lasell College men’s indoor track & field team will open up the 2010-2011 season on Saturday, December 4th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Smith College Winter Classic. This will be the second year that the Lasers have competed at the varsity level after an outstanding inaugural season in 2009-2010.
