Wildcats End Baseball's 2015 Campaign 7-1 in GNAC Elimination RoundApril 25, 2015NASHUA, N.H.— The Lasell College baseball team fell to Johnson and Wales University 7-1 in Saturday’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tournament elimination game. Lasell, who previously fell to Saint Joseph's (Me.) in Thursday's second round game, is now eliminated from tournament play, and closes out their 2015 campaign at 14-17. Johnson & Wales will take on the winner of the #3 Suffolk/#1 Saint Joseph’s (Maine) game at 5:00 p.m. today.

The Lasers grabbed a 5-3 victory in the first game of the conference twinbill, bumping their overall record to 9-12 (5-4 GNAC), while the Raiders drop to 9-15 this spring (5-7 GNAC).

Bahnick Pitches Baseball Past Newbury 4-2March 24, 2015NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Freshman pitcher Josh Bahnick (Clinton, Mass.) registered his first career win for the Lasell College baseball team as he allowed two runs (one earned), scattered six hits and struck out three batters in a complete game effort to defeat Newbury College 4-2 in non-conference action at the New England Baseball Complex on Tuesday evening. With the win, Lasell improves to 4-7 this spring, while Newbury drops to 7-10 overall.

Baseball Earns Split with KnoxMarch 20, 2015FORT MYERS, Fla. (3/20/15) - The Lasell College baseball team went 1-1 in a non-conference doubleheader versus Knox College on Friday afternoon at the Player Development Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. In game one, the Lasers defeated the Prairie Fire, 12-6, but then dropped a 5-2 decision to Knox in the second game of the afternoon. Lasell is now 3-6 this spring, while Knox moved to 2-5 on the year.

(3/19/15) - The Lasell College baseball team dropped both games of Thursday afternoon’s doubleheader at Terry Park in the fourth day of the Lasers' spring trip in Florida. In game one, Lasell fell to McDaniel College by a score of 11-5 and in the second game, the Lasers were defeated by Bethel University (Minn.), 16-1. With the losses, Lasell fell to 2-5 this spring, while McDaniel improved to 5-3 and Bethel registered its eighth win of the year, 8-2.

(3/17/15) – Johns Hopkins senior right fielder Chris Casey (Wellesley, Mass.) scored the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning via a sacrifice bunt from junior Raul Shah (Ellicott City, Md.) that gave the Blue Jays a 3-2 victory over the Lasell College baseball team on Tuesday afternoon at Terry Park. Lasell fell to 2-3 on the year, while John Hopkins improved to 5-1 this season.

With the split, the Lasers evened their record at 2-2, while Dubuque also evened out its record at 4-4 this season.
