Newton, MA- The Lasers hit the court for the second time this week to host another GNAC matchup, this time against Saint Joseph's of Maine. The Lasers rise to 6-0 in conference play, while the Monks drop to 1-1.
The Lasers offense hit the gas right out of the gate, going up 5-1 before the Monks scored their next point. The Monks came within a point of the Lasers a few times over the next few points, but never were able to snag the lead.
The first few points of the second set had both teams neck and neck. However, Lasell pulled ahead 7-3 and never looked back.
The third set had Lasell up five points early on, hoping to secure the win in three. They eventually went on to win with a decisive 25-18 final set.
Morgan Bogli lead the Lasers with nine kills on the evening, with McKenna McCool following with seven of her own. Setters Sydney Katz and Trinity Silva had 13 assists a piece, while Madeline Caro and Andrea Aceituno had 8 digs a peace.
Up Next: The Lasers will head to Wentworth Institute of Technology this Saturday for a non-conference tri-match with William-Patterson.
