WSOC: Lasers come up short vs Brandeis University

Newton, Mass – The Lasell University women's soccer team took on the Brandeis University Judges Sunday afternoon, falling 2-0 in a non-conference battle at Taylor Field.   The Lasers fall to 0-2 and the Judges improve to 1-1.

After a scoreless first half, Brandeis got on the board in the 72nd minute when Sydney Lenhart (Tucson, AZ) took a pass from Makenna Hunt (Tyngsboro, MA) and shot the ball into the net.

The Judges would score four minutes later when Juliette Carreiro (Upton, MA) passed it to Caroline Swan (Pittsburgh, PA), played it one two, and then found Makenna Hunt (Tyngsboro, MA) for the goal.

The Lasers were outshot in the game but won the corner kick battle edging the Judges 3-1 in the corners.

Senior goalie Kyli Swann (Queen Creek, AZ) made 12 saves in the setback.

Both teams are back in action on Wednesday, September 7th. The Lasers will host UMass Dartmouth at 4 p.m. and Brandies will host Babson College at 4:30 p.m.
