NEWTON, Mass. – With the NCAA basketball preseason practices officially underway next week, Lasell University has released the men's and women's basketball schedules for the 2019-20 season. The schedules are now available online on the official website for Lasell Athletics – laserpride.lasell.edu.

The Laser men's squad, led by 14th-year head coach Aaron Galletta, will tip off the campaign on Friday, November 8, with a non-conference home game against Fitchburg State University, beginning at 7 p.m. The Lasers will also be at home on Wednesday, November 13, for a non-conference encounter against Babson College at 7:00 p.m. The challenging non-conference slate also includes 2019 NCAA Tournament teams Amherst College, MIT, Nichols College, and Husson University.

The Lasers will open up the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) slate Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Emmanuel College.

The Laser women's squad, led by sixth-year head coach Todd Montana, will open up the season on the road on Saturday, November 9, with a non-conference game at Mount Holyoke College at 1 p.m. The Lasers will compete in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC)-North Atlantic Conference (NAC) challenge on Friday-Saturday, November 22-23 at Rivier University in Nashua, N.H., as GNAC schools Lasell and Rivier will take turns playing NAC teams University of Maine Farmington and University of Maine Presque Isle.

Lasell's home opener is slated for Tuesday, November 26, at 7 p.m. against Framingham State University. The GNAC debut will be Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Johnson & Wales University.
