Aaron Galletta enters his 18th season as the Head Coach of the Lasell University men's basketball program in 2023-24. He also serves as the department's Engagement Officer.

After serving as an assistant for the program from 2004-06, he assumed the role as head coach in 2006 and has amassed an overall record of 213-221. Galletta has posted an impressive 159-110 mark in conference play.

Galletta’s championship-caliber teams have competed in the GNAC semifinals 10 times and have qualified for one NAC semifinals. The unit has reached two conference championship games, to go along with three ECAC postseason appearances. In just his second season as head coach, the Lasers captured their first GNAC title and earned an NCAA Division III Tournament bid. Under Galletta’s reign, the Lasers have consistently played a rigorous non-conference schedule which ranks in the top 20 nationally, continuously competing against NCAA Tournament teams.

Over his tenure, Galletta has produced an all-conference player in every season. He has coached 29 All-Conference players in total, including 16 first team selections, three Player of the Year honorees, and a Lasell and GNAC Hall Of Fame inductee. He has also coached three Jostens Trophy finalists, a prestigious national honor which is voted on based on three criteria: basketball ability, academic ability and community service.

Galletta graduated from Union College in 2002 as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,949 career points. He led the Dutchmen as a senior to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, garnering numerous regional and national honors. He was named to the NABC All-American second team, D3Hoops.com All-American third team and was a finalist for the Jostens Trophy. In 2017, he was inducted into the Union College Athletics Hall of Fame.
