No. 8 Men's Volleyball Sweeps Emerson

BOSTON, Mass. (3/30/17) – The No. 8 men's volleyball team extended its untouched conference record to 8-0 following a 3-0 victory against Emerson College on Thursday evening inside Brown Plofker Gymnasium. The Lasers improve to 23-4 with their seventh straight win, while the Lions dip to 9-10 overall and 3-6 in the GNAC.

By set scores of 25-20, 25-10, and 25-14, the Lasers downed the Lions in just over 60 minutes of action. Seniors Tristan Davis (Rochester, N.Y.) and Jeffrey Vautrin (Chicopee, Mass.) each tallied 10 kills apiece, as Vautrin hit .667 without a single error. Classmate Patrick MacDonald (Floral Park, N.Y.) gave Lasell 13 points in the effort on nine kills and six block assists.

Defensively, all but one Laser recorded a dig, with Jordan Aprea (Newington, Conn.) leading with eight digs.

The Lasers will resume conference action on Saturday, April 1, when they travel to New Haven, Conn. for a GNAC tri-match with Albertus Magnus and No. 10 Wentworth.
