Men's Volleyball Climbs National Poll; Sweeps Emmanuel 3-0 in GNAC Action

BOSTON, Mass. (3/28/17) –   The No. 8 ranked Lasell men's volleyball team stayed untouched in conference play following a 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-14, 25-15) against Emmanuel College in a crosstown meeting on Tuesday evening at Andy Yosinoff Court. Lasell's sixth straight victory pushes its overall record to 22-5 and 7-0 in the GNAC, while the Saints slip to 6-16 and 2-6 in conference play.

The Lasers took the largest leap in today's AVCA Division III Men's Top 15 Poll, previously ranked at No. 12 last week. Lasell earned two crucial victories against high-ranked foes Marymount and Wentworth to secure a spot in the Top 10 national poll for the first time in program history.

GNAC offensive player of the week Tristan Davis (Rochester, N.Y.) used a .500 swinging percentage to go along with 15 kills and just four errors in the win. Davis was the lone Laser to enter double-digit numbers in kills, as classmate Jeffrey Vautrin (Chicopee, Mass.) registered nine of his own with eight digs.

Setter Andy Henriquez (Lawrence, Mass.) served up a game-high 32 assists in the victory, while Patrick MacDonald (Floral Park, N.Y.) was defensive leader on 10 digs.

Lasell heads back to Boston on Thursday, March 30, to face Emerson College for a 7:00 p.m. conference tilt.
