Davis Named GNAC Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
NEWTON, Mass. (1/30/17) – Senior Tristan Davis (Rochester, N.Y.) earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Davis steered the Lasers to a flawless 4-0 weekend at the JWU Invitational, where the senior was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. Lasell took down Bard, MIT, and Regis in straight sets, and yielded just one set loss to Endicott, 3-1.

Davis had 40 total kills throughout the four matches with a .325 hitting percentage on the weekend. He averaged 3.08 kills per set, and registered three service aces and five blocks. Davis highlighted the weekend with a .833 hitting percentage against Bard, and a team-high 14 kills against Endicott.

Thus far, Davis has 60 total kills and a hitting percentage of .333, which places him 3rd and 4th overall in the GNAC, respectively.

Davis and the Lasers head down to New York this weekend to take on Staten Island Friday night, before facing No. 12 Stevenson University Saturday morning in Mahwah, New Jersey.
