NEWTON, Mass. (2/15/16) – Freshman Jordan Aprea (Newington, Conn.) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias men's volleyball rookie of the week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

In a perfect 3-0 week for the Lasers, Aprea averaged 2.30 digs per set for 23 overall. In a big 3-1 over the previously ranked Leopards of Wentworth, Aprea notched 11 digs before his nine in a straight sweep against Emmanuel.  

Aprea and the men's volleyball team return to the court this weekend as they head to Huntingdon, Pa. for the Juniata Classic. The Lasers will square off with Juniata on Friday, and will close out the tournament on Saturday versus New Paltz St. and Nazareth.
