NEWTON, Mass. (4/6/15) - Junior Jeff Vautrin (Chicopee, Mass.) grabbed his third Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolade, earning Defensive Player of the Week as announced on Monday afternoon.
Vautrin led the Lasers to a 1-3 week, where the squad earned the #2 seed and a first-round bye in the GNAC post-season tournament. The Chicopee, Mass. native registered 25 digs throughout the week, including a season-high 12 digs in the second 3-0 sweep over Emerson College. Vautrin also jumped up for three total blocks in the defeat against the Lions.
Vautrin and the Lasell men's volleyball team will host the GNAC Semifinal match on Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. against the winner of the first-round game featuring Emerson and Wentworth.
