Vautrin Earns GNAC Offensive Player of the Week for Second Time this Year

NEWTON, Mass. (3/16/15) – For the second time this season, junior Jeff Vautrin (Chicopee, Mass.) was chosen as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's volleyball Player of the Week.

Vautrin led the Lasers to a 2-1 week, registering a team-high 15 kills during the 3-0 loss to Springfield College. The squad traveled to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a tri-match, where Vautrin continued to rack up his stats. In the 3-1 victory against Vassar College, the Chicopee, Mass. native potted 16 kills and a service ace. In the following game vs. No. 13 MIT, Vautrin unleashed on the court with a career-high 31 kills in the five-set 3-2 triumph.

Vautrin sits at the top of the GNAC in total kills with 243, earning a .331 hitting percentage.
