PAXTON, Mass. (3/22/14) – The Lasell College men's volleyball team notched a pair of 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories on Saturday at Anna Maria College. The Lasers dispatched the host AMCats in the first match followed by another straight set victory against Mount Ida in the second contest. The Lasers improved to 16-5 on the year and 5-3 in conference matches.
Lasell 3 – Anna Maria 0
Lasell used a balanced offensive attack to capture the three set victory, 25-20, 28-26, and 25-15 over Anna Maria. Dan Raffol tallied nine kills on 17 attempts to pace Lasell, who also got seven kills from Dalton Whitman, six kills from Matt Dionne and five kills from Tristan Davis. Matt Dugan and Patrick MacDonald recorded a team-high five digs and Dugan dished out 21 assists while Andrew Glenn chipped in 15 helpers. Davis accounted for two of the Lasers eight service aces in the match.
Lasell 3 – Mount Ida 0
The Lasers hit .397 in the second match of the day, tallying 33 kills and 11 service aces on their way to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-16 victory over Mount Ida. Drew Caruso and Dan Raffol each totaled seven kills in the match for Lasell, with Caruso adding three service aces and Raffol notching a pair of his own. Ryan Jackson chipped in six kills and nine assists and Andrew Glenn tallied a match-high 20 assists.
Lasell will host nationally ranked #6 Rivier University on Tuesday March 25th at 7:00 p.m.
