Men's Volleyball Drops Pair of GNAC Matches

Boston, Mass. (3/30/13) - The Lasell College men's volleyball team fell in both halves of their Great Northeast Athletic Conference tri-match, dropping 3-0 contests to Emerson College and Wentworth Institute of Technology. The losses leave the team at 11-11 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

Lasell vs Emerson

Lasell lost the three set affair, 25-17, 25-21, and 25-22. Dan Raffol (Natick, Mass.) tallied a team-high 10 kills, Drew Caruso (Haverhill, Mass.) added seven kills, and Alex Mill (Danville, N.H.) chipped in with six kills. Chris Burns (Chelmsford, Mass.) notched a team-high 10 digs, and Matt Dugan (New Lenox, Ill.) handed out 19 asstists.

Lasell vs Wentworth

The Leopards earned a key GNAC victory over Lasell in the second match of the day, winning 25-23, 25-15, and 25-16. Julius Rosario (Stoughton, Mass.) posted six kills in eight attacking attempts for Lasell, and Dalton Whitman (Meriden, Conn.) followed Rosario with five kills.  

Lasell will look to get back on track when they host a trio of matches, on April 2nd, 3rd and 4th when they will be visited by Albertus Magnus, Rivier and Emmanuel for GNAC contests.
