Men’s Volleyball Wraps-Up Regular Season with 3-0 Win

Newton, Ma – The Lasell College men's volleyball team completed their regular season schedule with a 3-0 victory over Mount Ida, winning 25-11, 25-15 and 25-15.

The victory improves Lasell's record to 10-15 overall and 4-10 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. Mount Ida fell to 1-21 and 0-12 in the GNAC with the loss.

Junior Alex Mill (Danville, N.H.) led the Lasell offensive attack with 12 kills and nine digs on the night, getting help from freshman Abdulrehman Khan (Karachi, Pakistan)  and sophomore Tim Anderson (Danville, N.H.) who chipped in seven and six kills respectively. Freshman Matt Dugan (New Lenox, Ill.) tallied 24 assists in the three set victory.

Spencer Hastings (Orlando, Fla.) and Kenney Jean (Dorchester, Mass.) each tallied a team-high five kills on the night, and Hastings added a team-best right digs for the Mustangs.

Mount Ida will conclude their regular season on Saturday April 7th when they face-off with Rivier College and Emerson College in a GNAC tri-match beginning at 10am. The Lasers will wait out the conclusion of GNAC play to see if they will qualify fot the GNAC postseason tournament.
