Mill, Glenn Collect Conference Weekly Honors

Sophomore outside hitter Alex Mill (Danville, NH) and freshman setter Andrew Glenn (Westport, CT) picked up Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors on Monday after an outstanding weekend at the MIT Men's Volleyball Invitational.  Mill was selected as co-Player of the Week while Glenn secured his third Rookie of the Week honor this season.

 

Mill earned his first GNAC weekly honor after a phenomenal week during which he recorded 43 kills, averaging 2.39 kills per set while hitting 43.9%, and also averaging over two digs per game.   He earned  a spot on the MIT All-Tournament team after putting down 39 kills on 65 total swings with just four errors (53.8%) in four matches over the weekend.  Mill also collected 34 digs in the 15 sets and recorded his first career double-double against no. 13 MIT with 11 kills and 14 digs.

 

Mill is currently leading the Lasers, is ranked 5th in the GNAC, and 61st across the NCAA in Division III for digs per set, averaging 1.91 per game.  Mill is also first for Lasell, 10th in the GNAC and 51st in the NCAA in aces per game, averaging .32 per set. 

 

Glenn led all rookies in the conference for the third time this season after distributing over 10 helpers per set in a five match week.  He tallied 181 total assists in 18 total sets while averaging 1.71 digs per set and adding eight kills and four blocks over the course of the week.

 

Glenn is 2nd in the conference in assists per game and is14th nationally, dishing out 9.2 assists per game on average.

 

The Lasers are back in action on their home court on Wednesday, March 9th at 7:00 p.m. hosting the University of New Haven.
