Lasers Suffer First GNAC Loss to no. 12 Emmanuel

 

BOSTON, MA- The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team, ranked 12th nationally in Division III, handed Lasell College their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss of the season on Thursday night, 3-0.  The Saints took the match 25-16, 25-19, 25-17 to boost their overall record to 10-3 and their GNAC slate to 4-1.  Lasell stands at 6-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play. 

 

The Saints were dominant through each set leaving the Lasers with just 17 kills collectively as a team.  Spencer Parker (Newington, CT) produced four of those kills in the match while Max Vaughan (Westport, CT), Mike Harrington (Billerica, MA), and Alex Mill (Danville, NH) each tallied three.  

 

GNAC Rookie of the Week Andrew Glenn (Westport, CT) recorded 14 assist in the match, adding three digs.  Micah Aiu (Honolulu, HI) led defensively for the Lasers with four digs. 

 

The Lasers are back on the court Friday night, February 11th, at the University of New Haven for non-conference competition.  First serve will take place at 7:00 p.m.
