MSOC: Lasers Fall Short to the Pride in 4-1 Defeat

Weston, MA- The Lasers headed down the road to face off against GNAC opponent Regis College, dropping to the Pride 4-1. 

Regis got off to a strong start, with Federico Lavini-Ayalla opening the scoring in the 5th minute. Haroun Mafhoum doubled the lead in the 18th minute, further solidifying Regis's dominance. Lavini-Ayalla added a penalty kick goal just before halftime, making it 3-0. Lasell responded with a goal from Mpumelelo Maphumulo in the 36th minute, keeping their hopes alive as they entered halftime trailing 3-1.

The second half saw Regis maintain control, and they extended their lead in the 64th minute with Nolan McMahon's goal, bringing the score to 4-1. Lasell struggled to generate significant offense, ending the match with 10 shots compared to Regis's 19.

Lasell's goalkeeper, Antonio Centracchio, faced 8 shots on goal and made 4 saves, while Regis's Chris Alcon recorded no saves, only facing one shot on target.
