
Newton, MA- In an impressive matchup, the Lasell University men's lacrosse team defeated Curry College 12-5 on Tuesday afternoon. The victory improves Lasell's record to 4-4, while Curry falls to 0-9.
Lasell came out strong, with Jack Condon leading the charge, scoring four goals and adding two assists. The offensive attack was supported by standout performances from Ryan Stone (two goals), Matthew Carbone (two goals), and Sam Patenaude (one goal). Will McCarthy also contributed a goal to help push the Lasell lead to 12 by the final whistle.
The game was marked by Lasell's superior faceoff performance, winning 16 of 21 total faceoffs. Lasell also controlled the ground ball battle, securing 27 to Curry's 21. Despite taking more shots (31-47), Curry was unable to convert enough opportunities to keep pace with Lasell.
Lasell's goalie, Cameron Soave, recorded 14 saves, helping to shut down any attempts at a late Curry comeback. On the other side, Niko DeCola made 15 saves for Curry but could not prevent the constant Lasell pressure.
