MLax: Lasers Overtake NEC Pilgrims 19-12

Henniker, NH - The Lasers put up an impressive 19 goals on the Pilgrims of New England College in GNAC play. 

Lasell opened up the match with two goals a piece for Colin LeBaron and Landon Reyes. NEC answered with a goal of their own, quickly recovered by a Lasers goal from Francis Pino to head into the second with a 5-1 lead. 

The Pilrgrims slightly outscored the Lasers in the second, tacking three goals on the board while Lasell fired in two. 

The third quarter saw a whopping 13 goals go on the board. Ryan Stone opened up the quarter with a goal, assisted by Finnegan McCormack. NEC answered with three goals, two of which were man-up situations after the Lasers were handed a penatly. Lasell regained a comfortable lead with three goals of their own, from Stone, Reyes, and Lebaron each within 30 seconds of eachother. The Lasers scored four more goals over the last half of the third quarter, heading into the fourth with a 14-10 lead. 

The Lasers opened up the fourth quarter with four unaswered goals to gain an 18-10 lead over the Pilgrims. NEC would put up two goals, followed by the final goal of the game from Lasell's Austin Wenzel, assisted by Tim McCarthy. Michael Catalano had 12 saves in the net for the Lasers, picking up another win on the season.
