
Boston, MA. - The Lasers collected two non-conference wins on the road at Wentworth on Saturday, setting them up with an overall 14-3 record on the season.
Lasell vs. WP
Lasell defeated the Pioneers of William Paterson University in a four-set game. After taking the first set 25-16, Lasell was outscored in the second 25-17 in a back-and-forth battle.
The Lasers took the lead early in the third set, keeping at least a four-point gap throughout the set and defeating the Pioneers 25-16.
After a close fourth set, the Lasers had a strong four-point push to end the fourth set, collecting their final 25-19 win, overall defeating the Pioneers 3-1.
Libero Maddie Caro recorded her 1,000 career dig during the win.
Lasell vs. Wentworth
The Leopards came out putting the first points on the scoreboard earning a quick lead before a Juliana Medini kill would start the scoring for Lasell.
Both teams would battle in a tight match before an eight-point burst from the Leopards would set Wentworth up for a 25-16 victory in the first.
The Lasers would come out strong in the second set, scoring early in the tight match and taking the win 25-19.
Lasell kept their momentum in the third, taking an early lead and outscoring the Leopards 25-8.
Wentworth would fire back in the fourth, gaining an early lead and leading to a 25-20 victory. The Lasers would answer in the final set, outscoring Wentworth 15-9 and an overall 3-2 win.
McKenna McCool recorded 10 kills on the match, propelling her to 1,000 career kills.
