
Wenham, MA- The Lasers travelled this weekend to compete in the Gordon College Invitational, facing off against Gordon College, Neumann, and MIT. The Lasers took their first matchup against Gordon College with a final score of 3-1.
The two teams remained neck and neck for the entirety of the first set. Lasell took the first set 26-24 with a kill from Madalyn Scully.
The second set started out in a similair fashion until the Lasers pulled ahead midway through, going up 2-0 on the match. Gordon took set three 26-24, forcing the Lasers into a fourth.
Lasell took an early lead and never looked back. Five aces from freshman Trinity Silva put Lasell up 20-8. The Lasers won with a convincing 25-10 final set.
Eliana Baran lead the Lasers offense with 13 kills, followed closely by Emily VanHouten with 12 kills of her own. McKenna McCool, Morgan Bogli, and Victoria Pariseault contributed six kills a piece in the win. Trinity Silva recorded 20 assists in her first collegiate matchup, followed by 17 assists from Sydney Katz.
