WVB: Lasers Stay Hot Against Wheaton, Win 12th straight

Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers Women's Volleyball team continued to bulldoze their way through the opposition, as they defeated Wheaton College in straight sets on Thursday, winning 25-15, 25-17, 26-24. The Lasers are now 14-1 on the season while the lions are 9-6.

The turning point in the match was midway through the second set. The Lions held momentum, leading 13-7 in the set. But the Lasers would score the next five points to get back in the set, After the Lions responded with two points, the Lasers went on a match changing 7-0 run to take control of the set, which they would win 25-17.

It was a balanced attack from the Lasers, led by Tori Scambray (8 kills) and Juliana Medini (7 kills). Sydney Katz had 16 set assists. Defensively, Maddie Caro had eight digs, and Camila Lopez had five.Medini recorded four total blocks.

Up Next - The Lasers will head to Mitchell College where they will take on Mitchell and NEC in a tri-match on Saturday
