Newton, Mass. - The Lasell Women's Volleyball team swept the Wildcats of Bay Path University. The Lasers improve to 12-11 on the season and Bay Path falls to 6-14.
The first set was mainly dominated by the Lasers as they jumped out to a 15-4 lead. After the Wildcats called a timeout, Lasell was still in control of the set. The Lasers took the first set 25-12 with Lasell registering 11 kills to the Wildcats' 3 kills.
Lasell jumped out to an early lead again at 10-2, carrying some momentum over from the first set. As the set kept on going, the Lasers were up 17-9. Then, the Wildcats scored 5 straight points to cut it within 3. After a kill from the Lasers the next play, Bay Path tied it up with 4 straight points to apply pressure to the Lasers. The Wildcats were two points away from stealing the set when they were up 23-21, but Lasell had other ideas when they took the set with 4 straight points with two of them being service aces.
The Wildcats and the Lasers started out the last set with both teams tying it up a 7 apiece early on until Lasell went on a 8-0 run to break apart in the set moving it to 15-7 in favor of Lasell. From there, Bay Path couldn't find a way to build some momentum as they would eventually fall in set #3, thus the Lasers sweeping them 3-0.

Lasell is back in action in a doubleheader in Boston, Mass. on Saturday Morning when they face host Emmanuel College and Norwich University. Bay Path is on the road Thursday night when they go to Milton, Mass. to face Curry College.
