WVB: Lasers remain undefeated in GNAC play with victory over Colby-Sawyer

New London, NH - The Lasell Women's Volleyball team improved their GNAC record to 4-0 and overall to 10-10 when they defeated the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer in 4 sets (3-1).

The first set was a back and forth with Colby-Sawyer building some momentum to gain a 21-13 lead. Despite Lasell trying to claw back, the Chargers took the first set 25-19. The second set started out even very early but then Lasell would take control of the set with 12 team kills to pace themselves to a second set victory 25-15. Set 3 was once again controlled by the Lasers as they jumped to a 14-6 from a seven point surge. The Chargers would cut the deficit to 18-14 in efforts to try and come back to take the set. Lasell would ultimately take control of the set and win 25-19. Lasell would win the final set 25-15 after a 14 kill set would surge them to a victory match to remain undefeated in conference play. 

McKenna McCool (Loomis, Calif.) led the match with 18 kills as Saige Cambonga-Meyers (Springdale, Ark.) and Sydney Katz (Ridgefield, Conn.) both combined for 31 of the Lasers' 38 team assists. On the defensive side, Maddie Caro (Chula Vista, Calif.) was the game leader in digs with 16 as Cambonga-Meyers chipped in 10 digs as well. Juliana Medini (Roxbury, NJ) was the anchor by the net with 5 total blocks.

Lasell is back in action in a doubleheader on Saturday as they host a tri-match, facing cross-town rival Regis College at 11AM and the University of Saint Joseph's (Maine) at 3PM in the Athletic Center.
