Boston, MA - The Lasell Women's Track and Field team competed at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational on Saturday. It was their third competition of the season.

The highlight of the day was Taylor Sprague setting a new school record in the Weight Throw event, with a mark of 9.63m. That breaks the month old record of teammate Sinclair Samuels (9.45m). Sprague also posted a mark of 8.53m in the Shotput.

Another star was Damali Waugh, as she participated in four events. They were the 60m (8.77s), 200m (31.35s), Shotput (7.94m), and the Triple Jump (9.02m). Her triple jump mark was good for a new PR.

The third star of the day for the Lasers was Hanna Babek. She ran a time of 29.52s in the 200m, and 1:12.52 in the 400m. In her final event, the Mixed 4x400m Relay, she ran the third leg, and helped set a program record with a time of 4:42.75. The other woman runner on that team was Eftihia Fotos
