WT&F: Lasell sends four athletes to GBTC Invitational at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lasell University women's indoor track and field team sent a contingent of four student-athletes to the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational on Sunday at Harvard University's Gordon Indoor Track.

Sophomore Elise Stanbury (Warren Hills, N.J.) had another top performance for the Lasers, placing fourth out of 28 competitors in the shot put with a career-best mark of 9.84 meters (32'3.5").

Sophomore Emily Hong (Southborough, Mass.) competed in two events for the Lasers and posted a pair of season-best times. She placed 29th in the 60 meter dash in 9.03 seconds, and finished 30th in the 200 meters in 30.14 seconds.

Joining Hong in the 60 meter dash for Lasell was sophomore Itzel Torres (Milford, Mass.), who was 32nd in a season-best 9.11 seconds, and senior Allie Clancy (Becerly, Mass.), who was 37th in a season-best 9.19 seconds.

The Lasers will compete again next Saturday, January 25, at the Art Farnham Invitational at MIT.
