School records and PR's Highlight Women's Track and Field Indoor Finale

BOSTON, Mass. (2/8/14) – The Lasell College women's track and field team competed in their final indoor meet on Saturday February 8th at the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT. The Lasers set a new school record in the 4x200M relay and had six different athletes set personal bests in the meet.

The Lasers 4x200M relay team finished third in the meet with a new school record of 1:54.14, Talia Gabriel, Ayumi Ranucci, Tatyana George, and Melissa Cooley combined to break their own record of 1:54.36 set last week at the Tufts Stampede Meet.

Tatyana George and Kendall Logsdon each recorded personal bests in the long jump with distances of 5.0 meters and 4.75 meters respectively to place 4th and 7th in the event. Ranucci, Cooley and Gabriel, part of the record setting 4x200M relay team also posted personal bests in the 60M dash, finishing with times of 8.65, 8.76 and 9.06 respectively. Kendall Logsdon recorded an 8.96 in the race, followed by Briana Wrubleski and Kelly Pigott with times of 9.15 and 9.77 seconds.

Logsdon, Wrubleski and Pigott each ran the 200M dash as well, finishing with times of 30.85, 31.37 and 33.78 for the meet. Rachel Knuth ran both the mile and the 800M, posting a new personal best in the mile, covering the distance in 6:01.19 and finishing with a time of 2:46.51 in the 800M. Jaime Russo placed 11th in the 400M dash with a time of 1:13.82 and ran the 3,000M for the first time in her career finishing in 12:32.14. Chelsea Zeig placed 12th in the shot put with a distance of 10.57 meters and recorded a toss of 9.19 meters in the weight throw.
