Women's Outdoor Track Debuts in First Official Meet

The Lasell College outdoor track team competed at Bridgewater St. in the first meet in the program's history, putting together some strong performances on a cold and blustery day.

 Kendall Logdson had an outstanding day for Lasell, placing 7th in a field of 23 competitors in the long jump, with a best on the day of 4.81 meters, and being the top finisher for the Lasers in the 100M dash, finishing 24th with a time of 14.03.

Melissa Cooley and Talia Gabriel each competed in both the 100M and 200M for Lasell. Cooley finished 26th in the 100M in a time of 14.04 and 20th in the 200M at 29.10. Gabriel placed 32nd in the 100M at 14.26, and 33rd in the 200M clocking in at 30.18.

Jamie Russo placed 20th in the 800M run for Lasell, putting together a solid time of 2:47.90, and Rachel Knuth placed 40th in the 1500M run in a time of 6:11.04.

Bethany McNulty and Tina Pho also ran the 100M dash for the Lasers. With times of 15.18 and 16.90 respectively.

Chelsea Zeig was 9th in the shot put with a throw of 10.41m, followed by Kathy Cameron at 8.89M, Heather Longley at 7.92m, and Bri Robbins at 7.36m.

 

The women will return to competition on Saturday March 30th when they will head to the Tufts University Snowflake Classic.
