Lasers Compete at Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational

WALTHAM, Mass. – Waltham, MA--The women's indoor track & field team competed at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational in Brandeis on Saturday, December 10th.  The team competed well against a mixed division field.  During the day, the Lasell women set some new school records and scored points in a number of individual events.

Sophomores Sam Peck (Woodbury, CT) and Kendall Logsdon (Palmer, MA) both broke the record of 31.02 in the 200m dash.  Peck ran a fast 28.94 to set the new record and Lodson, was close behind with a time of 29.83. 

Senior Meghan Missett (Lowell, MA) crushed her 2010 record of 12:20.43 in the 3000m run, replacing it with a new time of 11.53.51.

On the day, Peck also scored 12 points for the Lasers, with a 2nd place finish in the High Jump, with a jump of 1.53m and a 4th place finish in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.87m.  In the Long Jump, Peck finished just behind three Division II women from Stonehill. 

The women will be off now for the holiday break and will return to action on January 21, 2012 at the Bates Invitational.
