Moody Sets Two New School Records at MIT Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, MA-Freshman Maura Moody (Winthrop, ME) set two new Lasell College women's track & field records at the 2010 MIT Co-Ed Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Shobrys and Aronson track. 

 

Moody recorded a time of 8.39 seconds in the 55 meter event, taking over a full second off the previous school record of 9.52 seconds.  She then produced a 10.08 second performance in the high hurdles event, setting her second record of the day. 

 

Sophomore Meghan Missett (Lowell, MA) had the top placing performance for the Lasers at the non-scoring MIT meet.  Missett took a fourth place finish in the 5000 meter run, completing the event in 22:01.6. 

 

Other runners that fared well in the meet included Stephanie Hauck (Westwood, MA), Cate Hart (Dedham, MA) and Stephanie Greenblatt (Houston, TX).  Both Hauck and Hart participated in the 55 meter event, running times of 9.57 seconds and 9.58 seconds respectively.  Greenblatt's event was the high hurdles, a race that she completed in 12.08 seconds.
