Newton, MA- In a tightly contested match, Lasell emerged victorious over Anna Maria with a score of 1-0.
The decisive moment came in the 13th minute, when Camdyn LaMarre scored with a well-placed shot from 10 yards out, finishing off a pass up the middle from Alex Delaney. LaMarre's shot sailed over Anna Maria's goalkeeper, Kortney Clark, securing the only goal of the game.
Lasell dominated the offensive statistics, registering an impressive 35 shots on goal compared to just 1 for Anna Maria. Goalkeeper Elizabeth DaSilva had a relatively quiet game, not facing any shots on target, while Anna Maria's Kortney Clark was kept busy, making 11 crucial saves to keep her team in contention.
Despite being outshot, Anna Maria managed to hold strong defensively, limiting Lasell's scoring opportunities after the initial goal. However, they struggled to generate offensive momentum, finishing the match without a single corner kick.
