
Newton, MA - The Lasers celebrated Senior Day with a decisive 4-1 win over GNAC opponent Simmons University.
The first period saw Lasell take an early lead with a goal from Emily DeHart, assisted by Isabella Goral, at 19:47. Just before halftime, Jordan Chatman extended their lead with an unassisted goal at 41:46. Simmons responded quickly after the break, as Stephanie Mendoza found the net with an assist from Lauren Krupnikoff at 44:21, narrowing the gap to 2-1.
However, Lasell quickly regained control. Brianna Chaffee scored at 56:04, assisted by Julia Vaillancourt, and Camdyn LaMarre sealed the game with another goal at 63:23, assisted by Destani Alua-Rioux.
In terms of statistics, Lasell dominated the shot count, firing 24 shots on goal compared to Simmons' 8. Lasell's goalkeeper, Elizabeth DaSilva, recorded 3 saves while allowing just 1 goal. Simmons' goalkeepers combined for 9 saves, but faced an onslaught from Lasell's offense.
