WSOC: Bridget Lynch Named to GNAC Hall of Fame

Newton, MA - On Tuesday, the GNAC announced their 2023 Hall of Fame class, and it included arguably the most dominant athlete in Lasell history in Bridget Lynch. The ceremonial event is scheduled for Thursday, August 10 at the Hilton Garden Inn Logan Airport in Boston.

Lynch, a forward from Dover, NH who graduated in 2015, rewrote the Lasell Women's Soccer record book over her four years at the school. When she left, she held every offensive record, and still holds each of them today. She holds three of the top four goal scoring seasons in school history with 33, 32, and 24, as well with the most career goals in school history with 98, which is 31 more than the next highest goal scorer.

Not only was she a prolific goal scorer, she also was great at setting up teammates, as her 12 assists in 2014 set the school record for a season, as do her 27 career assists. In total, she had 223 career points, with 76 in 2014. Those are the school records for a career and season.

During her career she was named the GNAC Player of the Week eight times, and was the GNAC Offensive Player of the Years in 2012, 2013, and 2014. In each of her four years at Lasell, the team would go on to win the GNAC Tournament, and advance to the NCAA Tournament. This included 2012, when the women's soccer defeated Amherst in the first round, giving the school their first NCAA Tournament win in any program. Lynch had a goal and an assist in that game.

In addition to her numerous career and single season records, Lynch also holds the school record for goals in a game with five. She accomplished that feat twice in the 2013 season. She added three assists in one of those games to also set the school record for points in a game with 13. In a separate game in 2014, she set the school record with four assists in one game.

Not only did Lynch compile stats like none other, she was also came through when it mattered most, scoring 21 career game winning goals, nine of which came in 2013. Both of those are school records. The only record she has not held onto since graduating is games played, as her 86 career games now sits second in school history.

In addition to her three GNAC Offensive Player of the Year awards, 2014 GNAC Tournament MVP, she was also named to numerous regional and national teams throughout her career, including being named an Academic All American in 2014.

Lynch graduated with a 3.91 gpa as an Exercise Science major. She played at Lasell with her twin sister Kayla, who ranks 5th in program history with 34 goals and 82 points.
