WSOC: Lasers down Blue Jays

The Lasell University woman's soccer team defeated the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn) Blue Jays 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Taylor Field. The win moves the Lasers to 10-5-1 overall and 10-1-1 in GNAC play.

The Lasers got on the board in the first minute of the game when Sarah Lynch (Warwick, RI) dribbled into the box and shot the ball into the net to make it 1-0 Lasers. 

With two minutes left in the first half, Michelina D'Agostino (Longmeadow, MA) converted a penalty kick to make the score 2-0 going into halftime. 

The Lasers got their final goal of the game in the 55th minute when Bobbi O'Guin (Newton, MA) dribbled into the left side of the box and shot the ball into the far corner of the net. This put the Lasers on top 3-0 for the final score.

Laser goalie Kyli Swan (Queen Creek, AZ) finished the game with two saves and Blue Jay keeper Chandler Douglas (North Haven, CT) had seven saves. 

The Lasers wrap up the regular season next Wednesday as they travel to Nashua, NH to take on Rivier at 5 p.m. The Blue Jays also play next Wednesday as they host Elms at 3 p.m.
