WSOC: Lasers open up GNAC play with win over Dean

Franklin, MA-

The Lasell University women's soccer team defeated the  Dean College Bulldogs, 2-0 Saturday afternoon to open up GNAC play. The Lasers improve to 1-3 and the Bulldogs fall to 0-2-1.

Freshman Sarah Lynch bagged her first career goal in the 24th minute when she shot the ball into the net off of an assist by Sophomore Priscilla Martinelli.  

At the half, it was 1-0 in favor of the Lasers.

The Lasers got another goal in the 61st minute when Sophomore Emily DeHart scored via a free kick. This was DeHart's first collegiate goal as well.

Freshman Elizabeth DaSilva made her first collegiate start for the Lasers. She finished the game with one save.

The Lasers return home to Taylor Field on Wednesday to play Emmanuel College at 4:30 p.m. Dean will play Wednesday as well as they host Mitchell College at 4 p.m.
