
NEWTON, Mass. (10/28/13) - Lasell College junior Bridget Lynch was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's soccer Player of the Week for her play in a pair of wins this week. The GNAC POTW honors are the second consecutive for the Dover, N.H. native and the third time this year she has been recognized by the conference. Lynch scored four goals in a 2-0 week for Lasell, scoring twice against Rivier and twice against Saint Joseph's of Maine. Against the Monks, Lynch scored twice in the first 3:12 of the contest as the Lasers clinched the top seed in the GNAC tournament with the victory.
Bridget Lynch has totaled 27 goals on the season and stands just four shy of tying the school's single season goal scoring record. Lynch leads the GNAC in goals and points and is ranked second the in nation in both goals per game with 1.58 and points per game at 3.53.
Lynch's two goal display against St. Joseph's of Maine on Saturday October 26th helped the Lasers clinch the GNAC regular season title and the top-seed in the conference tournament.
