Women's Soccer Picks Up 2-0 Victory at Coast Guard

New London, CT - The Lasell College women's soccer team improved to 2-1 on the year with a 2-0 road victory at Coast Guard on Tuesday night.

Sophomore twins Kayla Lynch and Bridget Lynch each scored a goal leading Lasell to a 2-0 win over Coast Guard in a non-conference game, the home opener for the Bears.

Kayla Lynch scored the only goal in the first half in the 26th minute when she headed home a cross from junior Jamie Osterberg for the 1-0 lead.

Bridget Lynch closed the scoring in the 82nd minute with senior Reegan Brackett assisting for the Lasers.

Sophomore Leah Pappalardo made nine saves earning her first clean sheet and second victory on the year. Coast Guard junior Devin Fellman (0-2) made ten saves for the Bears.

Coast Guard will travel to Nichols on Thursday for a 4 pm game, while Lasell will take the pitch again on Saturday at home against Anna Maria in their Great Northeast Athletic Conference opener at 1pm.
