NEWTON, MA—Sophomore forward Jamie Harris (Lynnfield, MA) had a four goal week, including two game-winning goals and a natural hat trick, leading to her first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week award and her first ECAC Division III New England Player of the Week honor for the 2011 season.
Harris started the week with three consecutive goals against Rivier College, recording the game-tying and the game-winning goals, back-to-back in a two minute span between the 13th and 15th minutes. She then added to her heroics with a second game-deciding tally in the Lasers' 3-1 win over Norwich on Saturday.
The Lasers are now 3-2 this season overall, and an unbeaten 3-0 in GNAC action. Harris is currently second on the team in goals (4) and points (8) this season so far.
As for her young career, Harris has 24 total goals and one assist, leaving her just one point shy of 50 career points through just 24 total games. The sophomore is already in the top three of Lasell's all-time career goals and points leaders for women's soccer.
