
NEWTON, MA- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Champions Lasell College swept all three weekly awards this week taking Player, Goalkeeper, and Rookie of the Week honors. Junior Elizabeth Stickley (Mashpee, MA) received the Goalkeeper of the Week award while freshman Jamie Harris (Lynnfield, MA) received the Player and Rookie of the Week accolades.
Stickley and Harris shared the honor of Most Valuable Player during the conference post-season tournament over the past week, leading to their respective weekly honors. Stickley recorded three shutouts over the course of the tournament, making 14 saves en route to the Lasers' first ever GNAC Championship Title and bid to the NCAA. Harris scored three goals over the course of the tournament, including the game-winner in both the quarter finals against Emerson and the finals against Norwich.
Stickley was also a first team All-Conference honoree and Harris was a second team All-Conference honoree by the GNAC this season. The Lasers are scheduled for their first ever appearance in the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament on Saturday, November 13th when they will face Williams College at 11:00 a.m. at Brandeis University.
