
Paxton, MA- The Lasers travelled to GNAC opponent Anna Maria for another conference matchup. The win moves Lasell to a 5-3 record overall and 2-2 in conference play, while Anna Maria drops to 0-8 and 0-4 in the league.
The game began with Anna Maria taking a 1-0 lead off an unassisted goal in the 14th minute of the first quarter. However, Lasell quickly responded with a goal from Emma Whaley at 9:11, followed by Kaitlin Bedell scoring on a free-position shot at 8:38. The Lasers continued to control the game with goals from Kaleigh Kosta and Mara Boldy, finishing the first quarter with a 4-1 advantage.
In the second quarter, Lasell extended their lead as Mara Boldy scored again at 13:45, assisted by Emily Watson. The lead grew to 6-1 after Watson's unassisted goal at 11:07. Despite strong efforts from Anna Maria, who scored three goals in the period—including one from Christine Ijawet and a pair from Ivy Ballou and Raegan Hachey—Lasell maintained a 6-4 lead heading into halftime.
Lasell continued their offensive dominance in the third quarter, with Bedell and Cahill adding goals. Anna Maria kept fighting, with Riley Michaud scoring a goal for the visitors, but Lasell maintained a 9-6 lead going into the final frame.
The fourth quarter saw Lasell put the game out of reach, scoring six unanswered goals. Cahill, Bedell, and Watson each added goals. Despite their best efforts, Anna Maria could not recover, and Lasell secured the 15-7 victory.
Lasell's offense was led by Bedell, who scored four goals and added an assist, while Emily Watson contributed three goals and one assist. Ruby Cahill and Mara Boldy also played key roles, scoring two goals each. In goal, Joy Sayah made 10 saves, allowing just seven goals in the win.
