Standish, ME - The Lasell Lasers Women's Lacrosse team fell 17-3 to Saint Joseph's (ME) on Wednesday, dropping to 2-8 on the season and 2-5 in conference play. The Monks are now 9-2 and 7-0.
The Lasers fought hard, but were outscored 14-0 in the first half. The Lasers would get on the board early in the third quarter when Teresa Kessner found the back of the net. Kessner would find paydirt again in the fourth. The final goal came via a Kaitlin Bedell free position shot.
Of the Lasers' 21 shots, Kessner recorded 12 of them. Emily Chapdelaine, Jenna Bazow, and Kessner each had two ground balls, while Shannon Borbee led the team with two caused turnovers. Goalie Joy Sayah and McKenna Ecker made five and two saves respectively.
Up Next - The Lasers will next play on Saturday, April 8th when they travel to Colby-Sawyer for an 11am start.
