Women's Lacrosse: Lasers earn IWLCA Academic Honor Squad laurels; Seven named to Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The Lasell University women's lacrosse team earned 2022 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Squad recognition, while Sydney Brady, Natalia Cullen, Karina Fernandes, Sabrina LeBlanc, Eileen McCarthy, Courtney Sobolewski and Devin Zambruno were named to the Academic Honor Roll.

The IWLCA has named 398 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as Academic Honor Squads for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Lasers compiled a superb team GPA of 3.515.

The IWLCA honored 1,104 student-athletes from 194 different institutions on the Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. Brady (3.934, psychology), Cullen (3.988, exercise science), Fernandes (3.881, fashion merchandising), LeBlanc (3.904, graphic design), McCarthy (3.970, early childhood education), Sobolewski (3.556, exercise science/psychology) and Zambruno (3.883, event management) were complete student-athletes on and off the field.
