Top-Moment Series: Sydney Brady '22 of Women's Lacrosse records 100th collegiate point

NEWTON, Mass. - It was a season to remember for Sydney Brady '22 of the Lasell University women's lacrosse team.

The senior midfielder recorded her 100th collegiate point in a 16-6 triumph over Albertus Magnus during senior day on April 28 at Grellier Field. During the triumph over the Falcons, Brady set career highs in points (10) and assists (3), while tying a personal-best seven goals. She also recorded a career-best 12 draw controls, tied for the fifth most in a single game in program history.

Brady led Lasell in goals (60) and points (69), ranking sixth and 11th overall, respectively, in the GNAC in the two categories during the 2022 season. She was named to the GNAC All-Conference second team after earning first team recognition during the 2021 year. The Westfield, Massachusetts, native posted five or more points eight times and four or more goals on 10 occasions.

During the final four regular-season games, she registered a combined 20 goals, as the Lasers won three of their final four conference games to clinch the seventh seed in the GNAC Tournamanet. In an 11-9 win at Elms on April 23 during the playoff push, Brady scored a free-position goal with 3:49 remaining in the fourth quarter to put the Lasers in the lead for good. She finished the game with four goals, nine shots on net, seven draw controls and three ground balls.

She finished her career with 99 goals and 110 points. She was phenomenal during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, tallying a combined 93 goals, 92 draw controls, 67 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers. Her 27 caused turnovers during her final season are the ninth most in a single season in the program's record book.
