NEWTON, Mass. - Junior midfielder Emily Chapdelaine finished with career-highs of four goals, four assists and eight points for the Lasell University women's lacrosse team during a 14-10 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory against Regis Tuesday afternoon on Grellier Field.

"We have been working really hard at practice, focusing on every little detail we need to fix," said Chapdelaine. "The team really came together today and showed ourselves and our coaches we have what it takes. It was a great win."

The Lasers (4-6, 3-4 GNAC) raced out to a 3-1 lead at the end of one, and then won the third quarter, 4-1, to build an 11-6 advantage going into the final 15 minutes. Seniors Sydney Brady (4 goals, 1 assist) and Sophia Gadsden (3 goals) complemented Chapdelaine's career day. Teresa Kessner and McKenna McCool each finished with one goal and one assist, while senior goalie Devin Zambruno earned her fourth win of the season, making 11 saves.

"We brought good intensity today and worked as a team to get this win," said Brady. "I am really proud of all the women on this team for putting in the work."

Leading the way for the Pride (2-8, 2-5 GNAC) were Kylee Marley (5 goals), Morgan Pero (2 goals, 1 assist) and Madeline Conover (2 goals, 1 assist). Goalie Grace Heffernan made 11 saves in net for Regis.

Brady recorded a hat trick in the first half, while Chapdelaine and Gadsden each found the back of the net twice, powering the unit to a 7-5 advantage going into halftime. Chapdelaine, McCool and Brady compiled one goal and one assist in the third quarter, respectively, and then a goal by Sheridan Blaha with 33 seconds on the clock gave the hosts a five-goal cushion at the end of three.

Three straight goals by the Pride cut the Lasers' lead to 12-9 with 12:32 on the scoreboard. Kessner and Gadsden tallied back-to-back goals, both assisted by Chapdelaine, allowing the hosts to develop some separation at 14-9 with three minutes remaining.

Brady finished with a game-high eight draw controls and Blaha led all players with eight ground balls. Brady led the game in total shots (13) and shots on goal (10). Gadsden tallied a game-leading five caused turnovers.

The Lasers held a 34-27 advantage in shots and a 38-25 lead in ground balls. Lasell went 21 of 24 on clears, while Regis was 16 for 25. The hosts won 16-of-29 draws.
