Pechulis Scores 100th Career Goal in 19-2 Victory over Blue Jays

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Lasell women's lacrosse senior Ashlee Pechulis (Westfield, Mass.) scored her 100th career goal 3:41 into a 19-2 victory over Saint Joseph's Connecticut Saturday afternoon. The Lasers improve to 3-2 in the GNAC and 7-5 this season, while the Blue Jays drip to 1-5 in conference contests and 4-8 this year.

Freshman Cailin Flannery (Medford, N.J.) scored the first four goals of her collegiate career, and freshman Riley Musial (Clinton, Conn.) notched a hat trick to lead the Lasers.

Freshman Rose St. Hilaire (West Hartford, Conn.) scored both St. Joseph's goals, and now has 43 this season

Musial, Taylor Yandow (Moretown, Vt.), and Stephanie Welch (Hancock, N.H.) each scored twice in the first half to help the Lasers build a 12-1 lead at the break, carrying a 19-4 advantage in shots. Flannery opened the second half with her four goals on the afternoon, while senior Taylor Dooley (Barnstable, Mass.) and freshman Jordan McComb (Cumberland, R.I.) also both scored twice to keep Lasell out of reach.

Junior Bridget Delaney (Weymouth, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for the Lasers, making four saves to even her overall record to 1-1 this season. Sophomore Emily Bourassa (Bristol, Conn.) made 16 saves in the loss for the Blue Jays.

Both teams return to GNAC action in their next contest, as the Lasers travel to Simmons College on Wednesday, April 20 at 4:00 p.m. while the Blue Jays play at Johnson & Wales Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.
